Plasticiser loss on cellulose acetate film
This study reports on recent investigations into the thermal, mechanical and hydroscopic characteristics of CA films, examining the relationships between the micromechanical and moisture sorption properties of the polymer and the degree of plasticization.
Initial analysis has being carried out on artificially aged reference films of CA, in addition to naturally aged sheets of CA, as used for the production of animation cels in the early film industry.
