Conservation of plastics artefacts from different prospects

The awareness for conservation of plastics objects is new in Europe and there is a growing interest in the conservation community.

In some place the research has been very active for many years, in other, this task is newly addressed. The value of this new approach is to bring together people from different fields: conservators, conservation scientist, art-historian, “plastician”, small and medium enterprises that are starting working together and sharing information. But more problems need to be solved and questions to be answered. These exchanges will help to bring the conservation community to the front edge of knowledge and a common agreement of strategy for conservation.
